Derek's passion for drilling started in 2010 when he began working as a helper on core drills. He quickly  worked his way up the ranks to become a driller. Having worked on various drilling projects in Nevada and Idaho, Derek has gained a wealth of experience in the field.

In 2012, he joined REI Drilling as a directional drilling trainee, where he was involved in projects ranging from salt, coal, and trona drilling. Derek's impressive skill set and dedication to the job saw him move into a support role at REI, where he was responsible for logistics, survey tool repair, and mud motor diagnostics.

In 2017, Derek took on the role of mud motor technician at DPI, where he has been excelling in his position. His expertise in mud motor handling and diagnostics is a valuable asset to DPI and their clients.

Over the years, Derek has honed his technical skills, developed a deep understanding of drilling practices, and has an incredible track record of performing tasks with accuracy and efficiency. His passion for his craft has made him an important member of the DPI team, and he is dedicated to providing high-quality service to DPI’s clients.
